You can edit your current retailer accounts or add new ones in the Accounts tab.
You may not be able to find a retailer when searching for them within the Accounts tab. If a retailer cannot be found by name, try searching the street number in the street address. This may also be necessary when searching for a location that is not nearby.
You can click the Add New Account button can be found when you are selecting or looking for a retailer account. Once added, this new account should appear when using the search bar and as a dot on the map of the Accounts page.
⚠️ Before manually creating a new account, make sure the account cannot be found in E-Vite. Duplicates of the same account could cause your team to send new E-Vites and reminders to account contacts who already received them.
Adding a New Retailer Account
To add a new retailer account:
- Go to the Accounts tab, then click the Add New Account button.
- Search for the retailer by name or address in the search bar and choose from the locations that populate.
- If a location is chosen, the retailer information will auto-populate in the fields, the address, city, state and zip fields will be locked (not editable). You can choose to edit the name by clicking the Check here to edit Account Name box.
⚠️ Updating an auto-populated account name risks creating duplicates if your team searches for the account using the original name or address. This could result in E-Vites sent to a retailer that has already received invitations.
- If the name or address is unable to auto-populate the retailer's information into the fields, the Account Name Found by Google field will be filled with the whatever you used to search. If this happens, be sure to click the Check here to edit Account Name box to correctly name the account so it is easy to find in future searches on E-Vite.
- If a location is chosen, the retailer information will auto-populate in the fields, the address, city, state and zip fields will be locked (not editable). You can choose to edit the name by clicking the Check here to edit Account Name box.
- Add the Premise Type (on or off) and Class of Trade (business type, e.g., Restaurant), then hit Save New Account.
💡 On the Home page, you can quickly search for, invite, and add new retailer accounts with the Accounts widget. If you do not see an account, confirm that you've chosen the correct premise and state before clicking Add New Account.
